Gift Boxes: Terms & Conditions

Timing & Minimums

Because each order is carefully curated and assembled to your specifications, we ask for a minimum order of 12 gifts and a 4 to 6 week lead-time in advance of the date you wish the order to arrive. Please note that payment is due in full prior to any inventory being ordered.


Forms of Payment

We gladly accept Visa and Mastercard via our website, though please be advised that there may be an additional 3% credit card processing fee assessed for any online payments. For corporate clients, we can also invoice and accept checks with no additional fee.


Tax

The Federal Government requires that we collect tax on all orders and shipments that will be delivered within the state of California.


Shipping & Delivery

For larger orders, hand delivery is available in the LA, OC, and Lake Arrowhead area for a flat rate of $50-$125 per address (depending on quantity and distance). For areas outside of this service area, we ship via UPS Ground. Each package (not individual gift) is insured for up to $50. Should you desire a faster or different form of shipping, or to insure the package at full value, we are happy to do so at an additional charge.

It is the client’s responsibility to provide accurate shipping/delivery information to avoid additional fees as well as delays in your order.  If an item is returned to us due to an incorrect shipping address or recipient refusal, we will charge a redelivery fee. If an item is forwarded by UPS due to incorrect shipping information, an additional address correction fee is charged to us and in turn will be charged to you.

We cannot provide a refund on delivery or shipping charges. We are not responsible for unclaimed packages. If packages are returned to us because they were unclaimed, we can arrange to have the gift sent to an alternate address for an additional shipping fee. We do not offer refunds because a package was not claimed by your recipient.

UPS drivers obtain signatures at their discretion unless a signature is specifically required by the sender. Packages might be left at the residence without obtaining a signature. Signature service is an extra charge. If you would like to request a signature for your package, please specify.


Damages

We must receive notification of damaged products within 48 hours of delivery. For products damaged during shipping, please keep all original packing material for courier inspection in order to file a claim with our shipper.


Return Policy

Because each order is sourced and custom built just for you, all orders are final sale and non-refundable. If your order arrives and you’re not satisfied, please contact us within 24 hours and we will work with you to make it right.


Alcohol & Alcohol-Themed Gifts

For alcohol to be included, it has to be supplied directly by the client since a special permit is needed to sell it and it is highly regulated. These gifts also require hand delivery since UPS does not allow for the shipping of alcohol across state lines.

As an alternative, what we’ve found works really well is an “alcohol-themed” gift box like a hot toddy, New Years champagne toast, espresso martini, Old Fashioned, etc. that includes everything to make the cocktail, except for the actual spirit. We also like to include fun products like “champagne gummy bears” or alcohol-infused popcorn to really tie the theme together.


Substitutions

We pride ourselves on working with small and artisan businesses and as a result, certain items can become unavailable on occasion. In the event an item is unavailable at the time of being ordered, we will contact you to inquire about substitutions. If we do not hear back within 2 business days, we’ll take one of the following actions: 1) Substitute with an item of equal or greater value and as close to your original item as possible 2) If your item is especially unique and an appropriate substitution doesn’t exist, we will omit the item and issue a credit.


Food Allergy Disclaimer

Food products that The Suite Life provides are generally labeled with possible allergen-containing ingredients from the manufacturer. Any non-labeled food always has a risk of possible allergen contamination. All clients and their recipients are encouraged to read the labels before consuming. The Suite Life will not assume any liability for adverse reactions to food consumed including labeled and non-labeled food products.


Changes to Pricing & Product Availability

Prices for products and services are subject to change without notice. Pricing and product availability is good as of the date of presentation, but can change or sell out prior to ordering. For most recent pricing and availability, please inquire prior to ordering.


Marketing

The Suite Life reserves the right to include a business card and/or insert card attached to and/or inside of each gift. We also reserve the right to publish finished products on social media, other websites, as well as TheSuiteLifeLA.com.


Intellectual Property

The Suite Life gift designs are the sole property of The Suite Life. Gifts may not be copied or resold without written permission. Gift designs may also not be altered in any way and must still be presented as The Suite Life via social media or any other public forum.
